Meijer Team Leader, Loss Prevention — Corporate Campus
Currently, Meijer is looking for a Loss Prevention Team Leader - Corporate Campus, will lead a team of Loss Prevention Officers charged with ensuring the security of assets, the safety of people, compliance with internal and regulatory standards and effective emergency preparedness and response. This position will partner with the Grand Rapids distribution operation and corporate office business units to develop, maintain, and continuously improve the strategy execution of campus loss prevention programs.
The Position:
- Driving achievement of all loss prevention goals and accountabilities for the corporate campus and distribution operation.
- Hiring, training and developing the corporate campus and distribution operation loss prevention team.
- Assessing facilities, equipment and machinery for unsafe conditions and provides resolution.
- Oversight of regulatory compliance relevant to the following: Dept. of Homeland Security, OSHA, Fire Protection, C-TPAT.
- Deploying resources against risk while achieving loss prevention budget expectations - Maximizing utilization of available loss prevention tools/resources.
- Developing and leadership of Corporate Campus emergency response teams and disaster contingency planning.
- Coordinating and oversight of security efforts to include: Investigates criminal activity, workplace behavior concerns, law enforcement liaison, theft detection/deterrent.
- Developing and maintain effective working relationships with corporate and distribution partners; share trends and provide feedback on current or proposed training, processes and initiatives.
Qualifications
- Minimum Associates Degree or equivalent work experience. Bachelors Degree highly preferred
- Minimum 5 yrs experience in Loss Prevention and/or Safety Systems.
- Minimum 2yrs in a supervisory role is highly preferred.
- Prior retail/distribution loss prevention and/or safety/health experience preferred
- Working knowledge of NFPA and OSHA codes
- Understanding of behavioral safety strategies
- Working knowledge of the following operating systems and methods: Security and Fire hardware, such as CCTV, Access Control, Fire Protection Systems, Alarm devices
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of emergency response protocols and processes (public and Private)
- Proficient in Microsoft office (i.e. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Ability to positively interact with all levels of Manufacturing operations personnel
- Strong investigative skills/techniques
- Skilled in investigative interviewing techniques
- Understanding of the criminal justice and civil justice systems
